You gain bonuses for knowledge of the area we are starting in. You have a penalty for knowledge of world affairs and out of creatures. Decide weather you are from here.

Your region has a mountain range to west plains to the Far East and far far north and south. Your town is in a dense forest in the shadows of the mountains. There is a t intersection at the center of town that is the junction point of two major roads. There is a lake on the west side of town.

If you can agree with one or more players about previous character history you may form a partnership or even a group that had adventured together before.  It will be up to you to initiate such dynamics.

There is a wizard here looking for workers and paying extremely well for services. He is building a tower about three miles from town at the base of the mountain. If you are not from here maybe that is why you are here. I am glad you have read this far and you are almost to the end. You may add five hundred experience to your sheet. If you are from here you have no doubt heard about the construction. It is a big deal.

 Fire questions anytime.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

If you are from the area.

Plus two to wisdom for local knowledge
Minus two to wisdom for world knowledge
Plus four to Charisma when interacting with other locals
Minus two to charisma when interacting with non locals.
If you have direction sense as a prof you are plus two in the area
If you do not have direction sense as a prof you can make a standard roll for direction sense while in the area.
